I recently read some impressive weight loss transformation stories about Protein World’s Slender Blend and with just 8 weeks s to go until I jet off to Ibiza, praying for a miracle, I decided to bite the bullet and order some.
In standard Alex form, the summer diet is yet to kick off in full swing – yes I know, we are now in June and I’m still sipping on porn star martinis like they are going out of fashion. With less than 8 weeks to go, I really need to shift the extra stone I have put on and so I’ve turned to Protein World for a little support.
At the moment, Protein World are offering a 3-month subscription deal, with a 15% saving if you sign up for 3 months. I thought this would be a great opportunity and so signed up – receiving some hunger buster capsules for free, to help with the hunger pains in the first month.
The idea is to substitute 2 meals a day with 2 shakes a day, followed by 2 snacks and a healthy 3rd meal. However, the tub you receive when signing up for the 3 months only supplies enough powder for 2 weeks if you follow the 2 shakes a day plan. As the powder is quite costly, I decided to only substitute the 1 meal a day – being lunch.
Instead, for breakfast, I have stocked up on free range eggs, 0% fat Fage Greek yogurts and some berries. I tend to take breakfast to work through the week, so the yogurts have been extremely convenient (and only 100 calories per pot) then at weekend, when I have more time, I cook up 3 scrambled eggs.
In terms of snacks, I rarely eat them, so I will use these calories for a skinny latte and a black americano to get me through the day, followed by a healthy tea of salad, fish, veg, prawns, boiled eggs, stir fry or whatever I fancy within a 500 calorie limit (keeping it relatively low carb.)
I’ve decided to stay off the scales until I’m 3 weeks into the diet as i know scales can fluctuate and I don’t want anything to put me off! I will keep you guys update 🙂
Wish me luck!
